Overview

The Chapel of Saint George (of the Hunters) in Pachna is a hidden gem located in the Kamenes area, just four kilometers south of the village. For several years, it was forgotten and abandoned, but thanks to the efforts of the Hunting Club of Hierax Pachna, the chapel was reconstructed in 2011 and now beautifies the area. The chapel itself is a simple, single-roomed structure with a pitched roof made of tiles. It used to be a small church in the past. To the west of the chapel, there are many stones that betray ruins of buildings. Despite its simple design, the Chapel of Saint George is a serene and peaceful place that offers visitors a chance to reflect and contemplate. Mass is held every Monday of the fortnight, and the community takes great care of the chapel, keeping it clean and well-maintained.
